​Simon joined  MPI from School in 1995  as a trainee recruiter working in the Aviation Broadcast, Electronics and Telecommunications sectors from the Head office in Hertford as well as being seconded to the Telford, Cambridge and Bristol offices.

In 1998 he was requested to establish and grow the rail division. Since then he has been instrumental in building a highly successful Rail  recruitment and fixed price team and in 2006 became Rail Director.

Through a drive for continuous improvement focusing on recruitment efficiencies and an appetite for innovation he has grown and maintained the  status of MPI as  one of the leading rail recruitment companies in the UK. Taking a personal responsibility for the safety of the contractors working for MPI, Simon is often in attendance at client projects throughout the UK  working with our contractors and clients to ensure the importance of the safety culture developed within MPI is maintained. The importance of collaboration and sustainability has gone hand in hand at MPI and  Simon has developed a bespoke trainee scheme with leading rail clients  to encourage the development of local personnel to have the necessary skills to work on and help deliver local projects.  

Following twenty years in the rail division Simon became Commercial Director in 2018 and is now contributing to the development and implementation of the company’s long term strategy with the underlying aim to provide clients from all sectors with an innovative and cost efficient recruitment service.
