Job description

MPI are currently recruiting for Assembly and Installation Fitters to work on various products for Land systems/deployable infrastructure for our client in Cambridgeshire.

Basic hours 37 per week, Monday to Thursday (07:15 to 15:45) Friday (07:15 to 12:15).

All applicants whose CV’s are approved to go forward will be required to attend an onsite interview/site tour before being accepted.


Overtime is currently available but cannot be guaranteed.

 

Pay rates as follows:

Basic PAYE £19.12 ph / Umbrella Limited £26.04 ph
Week overtime PAYE £28.68 ph / Umbrella Limited £39.04 ph



Job Description

 

Your responsibilities in this role include:

· To manufacture, assemble and build Marshall specialist projects using engineering drawings and associated design data to meet the business and customer expectations.

· To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all Marshall Land System projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard.

· Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures.
· Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager.
· Attend and support production meetings if required.

Apply if you have most of the following or equivalent:

· Mechanical, fitting or joining experience within automotive or heavy industry
· Experience in drilling aluminium assemblies and components, along with installation of blind rivets using pneumatic rivet guns.
· Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent in Vehicle Body Building, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification.

· Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within team.
· Understanding of policies and procedures required within a workshop environment
· Understanding of Production methods and processes.
· Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data.
