​MPI are currently recruiting for a Plant Operator, for our client based in Cranfield

​

This is a 6 month initial contract with the option to extend and will begin in March.

​

​

Shift patterns – 7:00am-15:00pm, 15:00pm-23:00pm, 23:00pm-7:00am (30mins to 1 hour overlap between each shift)

​

Night shift premium rate

​

Hours per week are likely variable depending on activities on site. Expected a minimum of 3-4 shifts a week

​

Duties:

​

To operate the pilot plant by using a control system (SCADA).

​

This will involve monitoring the plant during operation, start up, shut down, as well as following the operating procedures.

​

Coordinate and direct control room operations

​

Monitor and control process parameters

​

Assist Shift Team Leader with plant operation, monitoring, and first-line fault diagnosis.

​

Assist with maintenance tasks on site

​

​

​

Qualifications:

​

Previous plant experience

​

Mechanical background preferred, but other engineering backgrounds too (chemical, process, electrical, automotive, aeronautic).

​

Blue CSCS/Skill card (minimum)

​

Gold CSCS/Skill card would be preferred.

​

First aid qualified is preferred.
