MPI are currently recruiting for a Health, Safety and Compliance specialist.
Start: ASAP for Approx 6 months
Inside IR35
Hours: Monday – Friday
08:00 – 16:00 – 37.5 hrs pw
HF - required
Full airside Security pass will be required.
As a Health, Safety, and Compliance Specialist, you will focus on developing, managing, and improving health and safety practices and compliance standards within our operational areas.
Manage and enhance health and safety in areas such as hangars, workshops, Line, B99, and B100. Ensure compliance with required health and safety standards, addressing any findings, Engineering Safety Reports (ESRs), and accident reports promptly. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with Part 145 across maintenance areas within the hangar, workshops, and Line.
Uphold standards outlined in the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and Confluence procedures, addressing findings and ESRs efficiently.
About the Role:
• Responsible for health and safety, compliance, and sustainability across E+M buildings at Luton Airport.
• Review and update the Integrated Quality and Safety Management System (IQSMS) daily.
• Host audits within the E+M estate at Luton Airport, including opening and closing meetings.
• Attend monthly health and safety meetings, prioritizing and progressing actions for regulatory compliance.
• Identify training requirements for E+M staff based on research and audit findings.
• Recommend suitable Ground Support Equipment to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Regularly update Senior Management on all aspects of health and safety compliance to ensure workplace safety standards are met.
• Post internal and external audits, providing immediate corrective action and long-term corrective action plans for audit findings.
About You:
• Minimum of 5 GCSE passes.
• Previous experiece of working within the Aviation sector.
• Technical experience or knowledge in health and safety.
• Ability to interpret technical publications and regulatory standards.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant systems and understanding of documentation.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
